Float Privacy Policy

The purpose of this privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) is to inform users of the Site of the following:

  • Personal data we will collect;
  • Use of collected data;
  • Who has access to collected data;
  • The rights of users of the Site; and 
  • The Site’s cookie policy.

Terms used below but not defined herein are as defined in the Terms of Service. This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the Terms of Service.

By using the Site users consent to the conditions set out in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time. We may use the information we collect for various reasons, including:

  • Providing and maintaining the site;

  • Improving the Site and developing new Services.

You may also unsubscribe from our marketing emails by following the instructions in the email. 

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information with:

  • Any member of our organization who reasonably needs access to user data to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy;
  • Service providers who assist us in operating the Site and providing the Services; 
  • Law enforcement or other governmental authorities if required by law, or if it is required to prove or protect our legal rights; and 
  • Buyers or potential buyers of Float in the event that we seek to sell the company.

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

If you follow hyperlinks from the Site to another website, we are not responsible for and have no control over their privacy policies and practices.

GDPR

For users in the European Union, we adhere to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, known as the General Date Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”). For users in the United Kingdom, we adhere to the GDPR as enshrined in the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Right to rectification;
  • Right to erasure;
  • Right to restrict processing;

Children

Float does not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 16 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 16 years of age, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. Do Not Track Notice

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that you can set in certain web browsers. We do not track the users of the Site over time and across third party websites and therefore do not respond to browser-initiated DNT signals.

If Float changes the Privacy Policy, Float will post such new policy on the Site and any such changes or modifications will become effective upon posting. Your access to and use of the Site, following the posting of any such changes or modifications, will constitute your acceptance of the Privacy Policy as revised.
